Four Tet 2018/19
In May 2019 we created our largest ever light installation, for two sold out Four Tet concerts at London’s Alexandra Palace. We used techniques developed on the road, and for our Submergence immersive installation, to combine immersive light installations with live performance at a new scale.
The work consisted of a 30m x 30m volume of lights, over 40,000 individually addressable points of light in total. Inside, the space was a combination of intense, immersive, dynamic light space and live performance – with Four Tet at the centre of an experience that broke down boundaries between performer and audience, installation and performance, the physical and the digital. Performer and 10,000 audience members were surrounded by, and immersed within, a volumetric, spatialised sound and light experience.
We have been working with Four Tet since 2015. Previous performances with him included Sydney Opera House, the ICA, Roundhouse and Village Underground (London), as well as Hollywood Forever (LA) and National Sawdust (Brooklyn NY).
