ROLE SUMMARY

Working alongside the Creative Directors, Producer, Technical Production Manager and Production Assistants you will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of Squidsoup’s touring works and supporting the creation, development and deployment of new technologies and artworks. Travel is a key part of this role, both national and international, and may on occasions be for extended periods of time.

DUTIES

Include but are not limited to:

  • Leading the installation and support of Squidsoup’s touring artworks nationally and internationally
  • Troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of technical systems, including event industry control systems, lighting, sound, power, and rigging
  • Leading site visits for touring projects
  • Client liaison to prepare and deliver schedules, RAMS & necessary H&S paperwork
  • Generate and comprehend technical drawings and maintain electrical and control systems of touring artworks
  • Ensuring all touring works are cared for and functional, and providing training to clients regarding maintenance and management when delivering artworks
  • The prepping and de-prepping of kit for artworks alongside our Warehouse and Production Assistants, including cleaning and testing of equipment
  • Support the Squidsoup team in delivering creative and technically innovative solutions to meet client needs
  • Provide technical support to Squidsoup team as required and ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
  • Attend Squidsoup and client project meetings and provide updates on progress
  • Troubleshoot custom network and software issues, and have a basic understanding of software programming such as Arduino, Processing
